Overview

We are seeking a Temporary Senior Manager, Lifecycle Marketing to join our team for an anticipated 6-month assignment, with the potential for an extension based on business needs. This role is expected to support approximately 30-40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

General Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Working closely with the VP, Growth & Digital, you will lead lifecycle campaigns and contribute to a broader range of digital marketing initiatives, from acquisition and discovery through booking, pre-arrival and repeat stays.

Email, SMS and CRM will be major areas of ownership, including our Klaviyo rollout and lifecycle roadmap. Alongside that work, you will actively support affiliate marketing, SEO, generative engine optimization (GEO), digital reporting and website conversion initiatives. These are ongoing parts of the role, with priorities set across the broader digital roadmap.

You will manage campaign planning, work directly with property teams and agencies, and personally build, test and launch initiatives. We’re looking for a versatile digital marketer with deep Klaviyo expertise, strong technical fluency and advanced practical AI skills who can move comfortably between strategy, analysis and execution.

Lifecycle strategy, email and SMS

  • Develop the lifecycle strategy and CRM roadmap across the brand and properties, including email and SMS. Partner with Klaviyo and developers on migration, data mapping and integrations.
  • Build and optimize email and SMS campaigns, segmentation and personalization using guest behavior, reservation history, preferences, engagement and loyalty status.
  • Plan how brand and property communications work together, including cross-property discovery, contact frequency and audience exclusions.
  • Build and optimize transactional, pre-arrival, welcome, abandoned cart, browse abandonment, post-stay, repeat-stay and OTA-to-direct journeys.
  • Establish a testing program to improve conversion, retention and direct revenue.

Campaign calendar and property execution

  • Manage the lifecycle campaign calendar and coordinate with the broader digital marketing calendar, aligning email, SMS, property offers, affiliate promotions and website updates.
  • Work directly with property teams to gather briefs, content and approvals, keeping campaigns on schedule.
  • Build, QA and launch brand and lifecycle campaigns in Klaviyo, and equip property teams to execute their newsletters through templates, training and quality review.
  • Create reusable templates and processes that scale across properties while preserving each hotel’s identity.
  • Coordinate with brand, creative and revenue teams to ensure accurate offers and a consistent guest experience.

Digital reporting, testing and optimization

  • Maintain reporting across email, SMS, affiliate, website and other digital channels, with clear insights and recommended actions for corporate and property teams.
  • Track conversion, direct revenue, repeat bookings, database growth and channel efficiency; evaluate attribution and compare CRM results with GA4.
  • Identify gaps in tracking and data quality, and work with technical partners to resolve them across marketing platforms and the booking journey.
  • Translate performance trends into a prioritized testing plan across messaging, audiences, offers, landing pages and booking experiences.
  • Maintain reliable campaign operations, including consent, suppressions, deliverability, tracking and QA; adapt HTML/CSS templates and dynamic content as needed.

Affiliate, search visibility and digital initiatives

  • Support the affiliate program through partner onboarding and coordination, offer and creative updates, tracking checks and performance optimization.
  • Help identify and develop digital partnerships and audience-growth opportunities that bring qualified traffic and new guests into Viceroy’s marketing ecosystem.
  • Coordinate SEO and GEO initiatives with agencies and property teams: prioritize content opportunities, brief updates, track implementation and monitor search and AI visibility.
  • Support website, offer-page and booking journey improvements, including content updates, campaign landing pages and conversion testing.
  • Manage assigned digital projects, tracking owners, deadlines and dependencies through completion.

AI and workflow improvement

  • Use AI to accelerate campaign production, analysis, coding, QA, documentation and project management.
  • Build repeatable AI-assisted workflows and automations that improve execution speed and quality.
  • Apply sound judgment to AI outputs, maintaining accuracy, brand standards and responsible handling of guest data.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify manual work across corporate and property marketing teams.

Qualifications

  • Typically 6+ years of lifecycle and digital marketing experience, combining email and SMS expertise with experience contributing to broader acquisition, conversion or growth initiatives.
  • Deep, hands-on Klaviyo expertise across email and SMS, including automated journeys, segmentation, dynamic content, testing and reporting.
  • Experience implementing or migrating a CRM program and working across multiple brands, properties or business units.
  • Strong technical fluency with HTML/CSS, event-based marketing, data structures and integration troubleshooting; comfort working with APIs, webhooks and developers.
  • Advanced practical AI skills, with examples of workflows or automations you have built beyond basic copy generation.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with GA4, marketing dashboards and performance reporting.
  • Working knowledge of affiliate marketing, SEO and AI search visibility, with the ability to coordinate specialists and move projects forward.
  • Excellent project management, writing and quality-control skills.
  • Confidence working directly with property teams and balancing multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
  • A commercial mindset and a track record of improving conversion, retention or customer lifetime value.
  • Experience in hospitality, travel or luxury; familiarity with PMS and booking engine data, loyalty programs and reservation-triggered communications; and experience supporting a portfolio of brands or properties.

What success looks like

  • A clear lifecycle roadmap and dependable progress across email, SMS and supporting digital initiatives.
  • Core transactional, email and SMS journeys launched, tested and continuously improved.
  • A coordinated campaign calendar with clear property accountability.
  • Actionable reporting that connects marketing activity to business results.
  • Affiliate, SEO/GEO and website initiatives delivered against agreed priorities, with measurable performance and clear next steps.
  • Documented processes and AI-assisted workflows that help the team scale.
