Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Corporate Director of Leisure Travel to lead leisure sales strategy and execution across the entire Viceroy Hotels & Resorts portfolio. This role will be responsible for developing and managing Travel Agent, Tour Operator, and luxury leisure market business on a global scale, in close collaboration with the Director of Global Sales – Leisure. The Corporate Director of Leisure Sales will serve as the key driver of leisure segment revenue growth by cultivating high-value accounts, strengthening luxury travel partnerships, and implementing innovative sales initiatives across all properties.

Responsibilities

  • Lead portfolio-wide leisure sales efforts by soliciting new FIT/Wholesale accounts, tour group accounts, and leisure travel agencies to meet or exceed revenue goals for all Viceroy properties.
  • Elevate current key account relationships across all regions and maximize opportunities with an innovative approach to business development.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Global Sales – Leisure, property Directors of Sales & Marketing, and other corporate departments to design unique, differentiated experiences for the leisure market that enhance the brand’s competitive advantage.
  • Develop and execute annual Leisure Travel Marketing and Action Plans for global markets.
  • Educate the trade community through strategic online training, curated FAM trips, and immersive site inspections at portfolio properties.
  • Represent Viceroy Hotels & Resorts at key international and domestic trade shows, luxury travel events, sales missions, and industry conferences.
  • Oversee responses to complex, high-value leisure opportunities such as long-stay, VIP, multi-property, and luxury suite/villa bookings.
  • Continuously analyze market trends, competitor activities, and client needs to refine sales strategies.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the competitive landscape, economic trends, and emerging distribution channels to inform proactive selling strategies.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to property-level leisure sales teams to ensure consistency and excellence in execution.
  • Produce accurate, timely reports on sales activity, market performance, and ROI for leisure initiatives.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive sales experience in luxury hospitality, with at least 5 years in a senior leisure sales leadership role.
  • Proven global network of contacts in the luxury leisure travel market and strong relationships with major luxury consortia.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing multi-property or brand-wide leisure sales strategies.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Creative, compelling communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
  • High level of attention to detail, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), STR, and other industry intelligence tools.
  • International sales experience and cultural fluency strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel extensively domestically and internationally as required.
